Our Impact

01 – Climate

We know that decarbonisation is a major undertaking, and as a global business, we have a responsibility to act with urgency and focus. DEPT® is Climate Neutral Certified, meaning we measure, offset, and set science-based targets to reduce our carbon footprint.
Through our Climate Neutral Certification, we are committed to reducing our Scope 1 & 2 footprint by 50% by 2030. As part of this commitment, we aim to have 90% of offices powered by renewable energy (prioritising low-impact renewable energy) by the end of 2025.
We also strive to reduce our Scope 3 emissions, by reducing emissions associated with business travel year over year. as well as working with our suppliers to help them measure and reduce their carbon footprint.

02 – Impactful work

We believe that the best way to impact the world is through the work we do with our clients. At DEPT®, we’re committed to helping our clients do incredible things, not just for their brands but for their communities, society, and the planet—because we recognise the tremendous opportunity we have to create a positive impact in the world through our work.
That’s why we’re making it our goal to earn a minimum of 15% of our total revenue by the end of 2025 from impactful work, and we’re proud of the steady progress we’ve made against that goal from 8.6% in 2022 to 11% in 2023.

03 – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We are lucky to have over 100 nationalities represented at DEPT®, and we are working to build a workforce and company that is inclusive and representative of the communities we serve.

We seek to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organisation, by focusing on:

  • Gathering, analysing, and sharing robust data on the makeup of our workforce
  • Ensuring our global procedures and policies are equitable for all Depsters
  • Equipping our teams and leaders with the skills they need to lead with DEI top of mind
  • Fostering a culture of inclusion through communication, flagship cultural touchpoints, in our offices, and through our Employee Resource Groups

04 – Community

We’ve pledged to use 1% of our profits to support purpose-driven organisations via pro bono work and direct donations. We’re proud that in 2023, 2.8% of profit was donated to organisations in need, while in 2022, 0.96% of profit was donated to worthwhile causes.
We are also dedicated to holding our annual volunteer event, DEPT® Cares each year. DEPT® Cares was an initiative that started as a single day of volunteering and has now grown into a month-long window for local teams to organise volunteering opportunities all over the world.
