Together with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Two Bulls/DEPT® developed an open-source digital solution to simplify genomic sequencing for labs around the globe.

To excel in curing diseases, providing care for the sick, advancing medical treatments, and promoting public health awareness, we have taken a significant step forward. Traditionally, executing genomics pipelines require technical expertise and an intensive, complex and expensive process to set up and run. However, AWS ingeniously identified the potential to simplify genomic sequencing through the creation of an open-source digital solution. In pursuit of this transformative idea, they partnered with us, Two Bulls/DEPT®, as the primary digital collaborator. In addition to collaborating with the disease and disease prevention experts at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene to create this solution that is affordable, accessible, equitable and secure. Together, we successfully developed this groundbreaking solution, that has a meaningful impact on society and in the field of health and digital technology.

The solution had to be simple to use, safe, seamless and scalable. With the launch of Easy Genomics, it assures laboratories wishing to scale their genomic sequencing capabilities without having to invest in technical training or further staff, as well as having access to a tool that makes it simple to run genomic pipelines on their lab tests. With Easy Genomics, public health agencies can achieve the following:
