ARTIS welcomes DEPT® as a strategic partner and deepens its award-winning partnership

After establishing a successful, award-winning partnership, ARTIS welcomes DEPT® as one of its strategic partners.
The global marketing and technology services company joins a select group of individuals and organisations that contribute their expertise, knowledge, and resources to supporting the Amsterdam zoo’s mission, helping to reconnect people with nature through education, science, and conservation.
As one of the oldest zoos in the world, ARTIS has found a new ambition to deepen the connection between visitors and nature through engagement, conservation, and education. Earlier this year, ARTIS launched a new content-driven website and app for ARTIS Zoo, Micropia, and the Groote Museum, created in close collaboration with DEPT®. With an integrated CMS behind the scenes, the platform connects digital and physical touchpoints in one seamless experience, offering visitors a seamless and enriching experience both online and in the park.
Since the launch, the impact for ARTIS has been clear: active users increased by 50-60%; event registrations are up by 40%, translating into a 300% increase in donations. The project has also been recognised by two industry awards: the DIA award, which celebrates excellence in interactive and digital communications and recognises the significant impact of the new digital identity, and the Gold at the Umbraco awards for Best Designed site. The two teams are already working together on a new pioneering initiative around the opening of the Aquarium next year.
