Improving multi-channel sales with a new ecommerce solution
Bonmarché is one of UK’s largest multi-channel retailers of womenswear, with more than 300 stores nationwide. As a multi-channel retailer, Bonmarché sells its fashionable clothing not only through brick and mortar stores, but also online.
One of their strategic targets is to grow multi-channel sales opportunities by improving all sales channels including the online shop. Bonmarché decided to replace their existing shop system by applying the cloud-based e-commerce solution Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
A revised online presence was an important milestone for achieving Bonmarché’s goal of improving the multi-channel offering, with the go-live of the cloud-based online shop. So, they teamed up with Dept for this project to deliver business and project consulting, Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementation, training and support.
MULTI-CHANNEL LOYALTY PROGRAM BRINGS BENEFITS FOR CUSTOMERS
Dept implemented the retailer’s loyalty program into the online solution, so that Bonmarché’s Bonus Club members can receive discount mailings and participate in exclusive bonus days, via whichever channel the customer chose to shop. This was further supported by the launch of multi-channel gift cards to truly provide a seamless experience.
Dept’s agile way of working enabled us to act flexibly and proactively, empowering us to work faster. As such, Dept managed to complete the entire implementation process in 3.5 months.
In order to support this cloud based e-commerce solution, Dept integrated third-party providers; Cybersource, Givex, Redeye, Bluecore and many more.
The new shop was developed in responsive design. The content adapts seamlessly and provides a high usability enabling shoppers to easily use the website from every device, i.e. smartphone, tablets, laptops and desktops.
