DEPT® supercharges its offering in the UK and opens a new flagship office following consecutive years of impressive growth. The business’ revenues have jumped 400% to over £50m in the past two years. From today, all of the agency’s teams in the UK will be united under the DEPT® brand, guided by the leadership of an expanded management team.

Hyper-personalised, content at scale agency FEED/DEPT®, brand and design studio ShopTalk/DEPT®, and marketing technology agency BYTE/DEPT® will unite with the agency’s existing technology team under a single brand. The teams already work together on 80% of the UK client portfolio, delivering end-to-end experiences across both technology and marketing for brands including eBay, Just Eat Takeaway, Heinz, Nikon, Twitch, and Arm.

Currently one of the fastest-growing markets for the agency globally, it plans to continue to expand and invest in the UK. Its hubs in London and Manchester are home to a collective team of over 500+ specialists across Experience, Engineering, Creative and Growth, and it expects the UK team to double in size in the next two years, supporting the digital skills agenda and providing new job opportunities. In London, the agency has opened a new flagship office in the Featherstone Building, at the heart of the city’s digital scene in Silicon Roundabout.

DEPT® is also announcing an expanded UK leadership team, which now includes Joanna Trippett, and Alicja Lloyd, who join the existing Managing Director of DEPT® in the UK, Brian Robinson.

Today, clients come to us with increasingly complex problems to solve, and are looking for ways to speed up in a slowing economy,” said Joanna Trippett, UK Managing Director and one of Management Today’s 2022 35 women under 35. “The connection between CMOs and CIOs has never been more important, and the time is ripe for businesses to reap the benefits of delivering a connected experience, harnessed by the new frontiers of technology. By uniting our teams, we are able to service clients and partners at all touchpoints of a customer journey.

To celebrate this milestone, DEPT® is launching an AI-fueled integrated campaign called ‘Prepare to Pioneer’.

At the heart of the campaign, is a Chat GPT-3-powered wayfinder experience, which encourages users to discover their Pioneering profile. The brand campaign spans across digital out-of-home, including placements at the iconic Old St Roundabout, social, and an AR landmarker set over the digital agency’s new London office on City Road.

The campaign will also be activated through a series of media and event partnerships throughout the year, and the team has also designed an exclusive line of branded merch complete with integrated AR markers.
