DEPT® takes live video shopping to a new level with Douglas

Amid the Germany-wide lockdown and in response to the generally increasing demand for active online advice, Douglas launched its live shopping channel Douglas LIVE in March of last year. This made Douglas one of the first German retailers to discover a format that combines entertainment content with a direct shopping function and, as a result, was able to generate the first important user insights. Yassin Hamdaoui, Head of International E-Shop Content & Data Enrichment at Douglas, already reported on this in the DEPT® Trend Talk on the subject of live video shopping.

 After the summer break, the beauty retailer is now taking the live experience to the next level and launching Douglas LIVE – THE LIVE CHANNEL FOR BEAUTY – with a completely new look and based on a new technology called Livebuy. The new digital branding, content and videos were created by digital agency DEPT®. DEPT® guided a new design direction for Douglas LIVE with a new logo, style elements and landing page. The content and videos for the Douglas LIVE main channel and the formats “Live Masterclasses” and “Live Deals” were also produced.
