Andy Iddon from Dept Design & Technology, joined e-Spirit’s Oliver Jaeger on stage at the Figaro Digital Conference last week, to share his advice on how organisations should approach digital transformation.
Andy demystified the buzzwords surrounding digital transformation, by explaining how it should be regarded as a transformative business approach, and shouldn’t just focus on customer experience.
Andy took delegates through both the business drivers and for change and some of the common challenges faced by organisations when getting started with transformation, which include tackling legacy systems, investing in your employees’ digital capabilities and securing C-level support and budget:

Andy provided tangible advice for getting started with developing a new Digital DNA by focussing on the ‘four foundational pillars’ – People, Process, Platform and Performance.
He explained each of the pillars from both an internal and external perspective, with key considerations including automation, legacy system integration, localisation and digital measurement frameworks.
