Content Strategist (Digital Marketing)

For our digital marketing department, we’re looking for a Content Strategist. Someone who creates performance-based content strategies for our clients on both campaign and always-on level, mostly for paid but sometimes organic content as well. 

As a Content Strategist at DEPT®, you show your clients how to present their audience with the best possible content across the different channels of the customer journey. From web to social, you know your channels and how to make them work for you. You help clients achieve their business goals by creating the type of content that ‘does the trick’. With your creative mindset, you are able to advise on the best creative angles to address and impress. 

Besides being a content expert, you are also able to manage your own clients and present your own work. You are able to collaborate with other disciplines like UX, and media specialists. You are able to work with, and guide creatives (copywriters and designers) to bring your strategies to life in the best possible campaign content. 

You will work in a vibrant environment with clever minds who work for a variety of large global brands like Philips, Smart, Sunweb and Jacobs Douwe Egberts.   • Have finished your HBO-/WO- education (Bachelors or Masters);
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a content marketing role, preferably at a digital agency;
  • You know the creative possibilities of digital channels like social, display, search en email;
  • Are familiar with SEO and UX.
  • You know how to create a content strategy, but you also get energy from creating campaign concepts;
  • Have great communication skills (verbally and written) and the ability to persuade;
  • Have experience in client management;
  • Not afraid to present your own work to clients or host workshops; 
  • Always know what question to ask at which moment;
  • Know how and when to switch from serious to play;
  • Are ambitious, results oriented and know how to plan and organize;
  • Are fluent in both Dutch and English;
