The Resource Manager is a member of the Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) team. The Resource Manager’s duties are related to planning and allocation of delivery talent for complex professional services engagements focused on a customer-facing software project portfolio. Resourcing decisions will be based on a series of factors including availability, technical and professional skills, and location. Talent may be internal or external, this role therefore includes developing new partnerships with specialist external service providers and nurturing existing partnerships to facilitate the subcontracting of professional services work to these organizations as needed. Additionally, this role includes the reporting of operational metrics and other related activities

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Accountable as the central point of contact for scheduling and managing resource allocations.
  • Working with talent, project managers and talent management to resolve talent allocation discrepancies.
  • Onboarding, profiling and ongoing measurement and relationship management of delivery partnerships with specialist external service providers, these may range from large companies to individual contractors.
  • Both short term pipeline planning and longer-term trending to enable effective resource planning and collaborating with others regarding internal skill development to ensure appropriate resourcing.
  • Providing regular reporting on operational metrics including utilization, revenue recognition forecasting, and program performance.
  • Identifying improvements to tooling and processes and contribute to the implementation of improvements where necessary.
  • Participating in the development of Statement of Works (SOWs), including assessing necessary skills for the engagement and staying one step ahead of resource demand.
  • Close collaboration with CSE leadership and teams involved in the full life cycle of pre-sales and delivery.
  • When delivering via partners, responsible for the partner selection, issuing and where necessary negotiation of work orders.
  • Coordinating activities across different organizational functions.

Qualifications

  • Proven results as a member of a team who are passionate in delivering nothing less than exceptional customer experiences, every time.
  • Experience in a similar role within a software company or large systems integrator.
  • Ability to manage ambiguities, pivot quickly, multi-task effectively, and remain highly organized.
  • Excellent communication skills at various levels internally and externally with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Team oriented with ability to facilitate effective meetings, handle conflict resolutions and to create an approachable environment.
  • Existing knowledge of IBM service partner ecosystem is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of mainframe systems environments and software preferred.
  • Prince 2 or PMI certification is a plus but not required.

DEPT® is looking for its first ever Global Head of Talent Attraction, reporting directly into the Chief People Officer. In this role, you will develop and execute DEPT®’s Talent Attraction strategy, as well as lead a global team of recruiters in over 10 countries. 

As the Global Head of Talent Attraction, you will continue to grow and develop a Talent Attraction team that is focused on building talent pipelines with diverse perspectives and experiences and providing an exceptional hiring experience for all candidates. You will coach, mentor, and develop individuals on the team to provide a high level of support in their growth. In this role you will also be expected to recruit for senior level roles or high priority roles as needed. 

You will refine and lead a Talent Attraction process that includes full-life cycle recruiting, sourcing, and analytics. You will partner with the Global Heads of People Operations & Resource Management to build out innovative and efficient processes as we scale, implement effective sourcing strategies, and establish metrics that drive excellent business and people outcomes and to develop programs and training initiatives to strengthen interviewing skills and align on recruiting best practices within the Talent Attraction team, hiring managers, and DEPT® as a whole.

DEPT® will look to you to build a progressive Talent Attraction strategy and roadmap, partnering closely across senior leadership and cross-functional partners; create a thoughtful, clear metrics-driven approach that tracks, monitors, and evaluates the impact and effectiveness of all recruitment programs and initiatives; build, advocate for, and foster diversity, equity and inclusion best practices in all aspects of the recruitment process, ensuring the adoption of equitable and inclusive hiring practices across the company.

Ultimately, you will become an expert in the DEPT® brand and culture and will work closely with global and local Marketing teams to effectively market and promote our talent brand.

YOU

  • 10+ years of experience leading Talent Acquisition with an emphasis on building high-performing teams and an inclusive culture;
  • Are extremely well-organized, process-driven and dedicated, with an outgoing personality and can-do attitude;  
  • Have an background in and deep experience with Technical Recruiting;
  • Are a strong verbal and written communicator; able to build strong relationships with people at all levels of seniority;
  • Have a strong work ethic; able to work under pressure and juggle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliver results;
  • Have passion for innovation with a focus on providing an amazing experience to both hiring managers and candidates;
  • Have experience driving efficiency and delivering on measurable impact through data;
  • Can demonstrate exceptional diligence and attention to detail as well as resourcefulness and quick, practical thinking in a demanding environment; 
  • Can speak fluent English;
  • Experience working with several teams/agencies and/or experience with M&A integrations.

For our People Operations team in Cologne, we are looking for a full-time Senior People & Culture Operations Specialist (m/f/div) who is an empathetic organizational talent and helps shape an excellent employee journey.

As a Senior People & Culture Operations Specialist (m/f/div), you will work with the People & Culture Operations team to create a unique employee journey experience for our teams in Berlin, Jena, Dresden, Leipzig, Cologne and Hamburg. You will be responsible for defining and re-engineering processes to make them as easy and pleasant as possible for all stakeholders. 

You will be the first point of contact for cross-site administrative HR tasks and actively support the team lead to proactively map and drive forward strategic topics and projects together with the team.

You are the first point of contact for employees with questions related to People & Culture Operations, participate in the onboarding processes for our newbies and are involved in offboarding processes and projects.

Your new tasks:

  • Process design and optimization as well as digitalization (visualization).
  • Contribute to the integration of existing and future entities (process and social). 
  • Supporting activities : administration: employment contracts, contract adjustments of employees, freelancer contracts & extensions, certificate creation and much more
  • Competence development within the People & Culture team and the stakeholders regarding labor law and social security issues
  • Preparatory Payroll as well as its optimization
  • HR Tools: Data maintenance & changes to HR tools, HR tool configuration & reporting
  • On- & Offboarding: Execution of processes (Employee- & Toolfacing) and On- & Offboarding for freelancers
  • Active support of your teamlead

  • You have several years of professional experience in the people operations/admin area and set yourself high standards in your work
  • Always act in a service-oriented and professional manner

  • You have in-depth knowledge of labor and social security law
  • Have experience in preparatory payroll
