Leading German digital agencies unite to form Dept
Five leading German digital agencies are joining forces under the Dept name. Following the rebranding, Dept now employs more than 400 people in Germany alone across six key cities all the while servicing well-known customers such as DB Schenker, Nivea, Otto, Philips, and Samsung.
Last April, after the Dept network had announced to continue as one single digital agency, the time has come for the German and Danish agencies to merge. The rebranding will pull together the knowledge, and industry experiences of German agencies BE EXCELLENT, superReal, Trust Agents, visumate and XAVA Media, as well as the Danish agency, QuantAds.
What makes Dept stand out, is that its organisational structure is made up of individual departments, such as Brand & Advertising, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce and Marketplaces. All of which were previously independent agencies; extremely specialised in their field and brought innovation and acceleration to their clients. After successfully working together for joint clients such as Birkenstock and Weber, the German and Danish rebranding under the Dept name now follows suit.
Cologne-based Amazon Marketing specialist, factor-a, will continue operating under its own name as part of Dept. Within only two years, factor-a has grown from a startup to eventually becoming Europe’s largest specialised Amazon vendor agency with 120 employees, and is currently focusing on further international expansion as part of the Dept brand.
Dept wants to emphasise its value to customers who wish to lead the way in the digital landscape with their mission statement: ‘we help our clients reinvent & accelerate their digital reality’.
