Dept and Advrtas develop 360° banner campaign for PPHE Hotel Group
A display campaign that offers users an ultimate 360° experience of Park Plaza hotels in London. With this new awareness campaign from PPHE Hotel Group, last minute bookers are inspired to book a city break. It is believed to be one of the first examples of 360° banners that are used in Europe and the first in the Netherlands.
The hotel group, which develops and operates Park Plaza and art’otel in EMEA, has been working with digital agency Dept since March 2018. Dept supports PPHE at a strategic and executive level for various advertising campaigns. The 360° display campaign has been developed in collaboration with the 360° VR ad platform by Advrtas.
“Although the use of 360° expressions has been possible for some time, 360° banners are still relatively new in the Netherlands,” says Willem Blom, Director Data & Intelligence at Dept. “The first results show that many people actually ‘stepped into and looked around’ in the virtual hotel. Also, engagement turned out to be twice as high compared to traditional ad formats.”
