‘Alles is lekkerder met Chocomel’ campaign wins SAN Accent and DIA

Dept DIA Win

“Awards are tastier with Chocomel”. An ironic reference to the brand’s slogan ‘Alles is lekkerder met Chocomel’ became yesterday’s slogan at Studio 21 in Hilversum. There, the Dutch Advertisers’ Jury Association (Stichting Adverteerdersjury Nederland, SAN) awarded their yearly Accenten, that praise the best Dutch communication work.

Every year, the communication industry prizes are awarded by advertisers to advertisers, who have delivered innovative work in the field of concept and media strategy. In the category ‘Fast-moving’, Dept won a golden Accent with the campaign ‘Alles is lekkerder met Chocomel’ that they developed for Chocomel. On the same night, at the Dutch Interactive Awards (DIA), the digital agency also won gold for Chocomel in the category ‘Campaign’.

Luuk Hoskam, Brand Leader Chocomel at FrieslandCampina: “At the end of 2016, we took a new approach in collaboration with the Dept team. Last year, we managed to achieve fantastic results, and we were able to grow both the volume and strength of the brand. The SAN and the DIA that we won tonight definitely feels like a reward, that gives us even more energy to keep making excellent work.”

Marcel van der Heijden, Commercial Director of Dept: “For an agency, it is fantastic to work for such an iconic brand as Chocomel. By bringing back its ‘yellow’ origin and brand essence, and combining it with creativity and a modern tone-of-voice, we managed to make the brand grow again. Winning the awards could not have been a nicer confirmation that we are on the right track. It gives us an enormous energy boost to build on this even further in the coming years.”
