Once you’ve gone through our recruitment process and have signed your contract, the relocation process kicks off. And when life hands you such opportunities, you want to grab ahold of them with as little hassle as possible. The paper work and moving process might seem daunting, but no need to worry – we’ve got you covered through each step of the way. Everyone deserves a smooth relocation and a soft landing, right? Important matters
When you’re moving to another country, you’ll need certain documents that will make your life much easier. Here’s a short list of documents and matters that will be helpful or necessary during the process:
- Personal documents
- Open a bank account
- Collect your Residence Permit
- Get a health insurance
- Other useful info such as exchanging your driver’s license, income taxes and tax return, a DigiD to log into all government matters at once
- Relocating your pet
- Find the right school for your child(ren)
- Sport locations, hobby clubs, etc.

Housing and support
It can be difficult to break into the (Dutch) housing market, especially if you’re not familiar with the local ins and outs. Luckily, Settly’s personal relocation support is here to save the day. You’ll get access to the Settly platform, the online community, as well as have the possibility to attend events and receive partner support if applicable.
Next to that, you will receive settling in & soft-landing support, and guidance with registering at the municipality and setting up your bank account. Just think of us as your personal assistant in relocating to the Netherlands. We’ll focus on the fuzz, so you can focus on the fun.
