DEPT® is made up of ambitious experts who all strive to be the best in their field. We recruit passionate professionals and talent in the field of data, technology, and creativity. In many cases, this starts when they are still students. We bring these talented people to our offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam and give them the opportunity to further develop their skills. Talent is only one part of the bigger picture; above all, we look for the perfect DEPT® fit. Someone who is eager to learn endlessly, who can inspire with boundless enthusiasm for their profession, strives to improve themselves and can switch from serious work to Friday afternoon mode in the blink of an eye.
Together with your team, you will dive deeply into the digital agency world of DEPT® in five/six months. Of course, you will gain experience by working with specialists and clients. But we will also challenge you with assignments, courses, and skill sessions. You’ll receive personal one-on-one guidance from your mentor and learn from several professionals.
Many of our people started their journey at DEPT® as an intern or trainee, stayed on as a working student or junior and are now top players in their fields. Joining DEPT® gives you the opportunity to get these chances too.
Technology
The DEPT® Technology team comprises a group of interns just like you. We’ll throw you in at the deep end, but no worries: we’ll arrange life jackets in the form of workshops and one-on-one mentoring. You will further specialize in front-end, back-end, or mobile development and you will be able to map your own learning path. As a DEPT® Technology member, you are part of a project team. We work for clients such as takeaway.com, Gant and the Van Gogh Museum. We are eager to welcome and guide you, have you learn from the right people, show us what you excel in and before you know it you will be our next development rockstar.
Design
Depending on the business team that you’ll join, the Design team builds new applications, creates accessibility for end users, makes beautiful interfaces or designs visually appealing campaigns. Needless to say that during this internship you will learn about the whole spectrum of visual and interaction design. A design internship at DEPT® also means many creative brainstorm sessions, exciting workshops and new inspirations. Our top designers will help you reach your personal goals and accomplish your design ambitions.
Sales & Finance
As a Sales intern, you’ll become part of the Sales team where you will look for interesting potential new customers, qualify incoming leads, contribute to a streamlined sales process and support the team with the organization of events. If you’re more into finance, not to worry: you’ll also dive into the financial side of things, getting to know what turnovers, operational costs and hourly rates actually entail. Of course you won’t have to figure all of this out on your own: a group of creative colleagues will help you become the best version of yourself.
Marketing
Organizational, proactive, analytical and creative: that’s how we would describe your internship at the DEPT® Marketing team. You’ll help with optimizing the DEPT® website and supporting our social media strategy. And you’ll organize events. Lots of em. From talks to panels and parties. Did anyone say DEPT® Fest? In other words: during this internship you’ll learn all the tricks of the marketing trade.
Strategy
During our Strategy internship you will help with innovations, strategic transformations and all kinds of solutions. From deep-diving into the latest trends and analyzing markets, to workshop prepping and creating top-notch presentations for clients, shareholders or Depsters.. Whether you’re a strategist in one of our business teams or for DEPT® itself, we’ll make sure that at the end of this internship you fully understand market growth, competition and how to successfully implement strategies.
HR & Recruitment
Do you understand people? Are you great at communication and an organizer by heart? Then we’re looking for you. Because at DEPT® we offer different internships within the Recruitment and People & Culture Team (HR). As a Recruitment intern you will help us find new talent and we will teach you the recruitment process inside out. And as part of the People & Culture team you will help us with all the questions from our very own Depsters and support the administration of contracts and mutations.
