Agente.<br><br>El grado en que esta desconexi\u00f3n deriv\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente en desilusi\u00f3n puede ilustrarse, de forma anecd\u00f3tica, con el CEO de Klarna, quien declar\u00f3 en febrero de 2024 que el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/garydrenik\/2026\/04\/14\/when-ai-customer-service-goes-wrong-and-how-to-get-it-right\/\">80% del soporte al cliente <\/a>ser\u00eda gestionado por agentes de IA. Solo un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, la empresa dio marcha atr\u00e1s y volvi\u00f3 a conectar a lxs clientes con una persona. Algo que vale destacar de este ejemplo es lo mucho que impresiona ver a un l\u00edder que no solo experimenta, sino que adem\u00e1s no tiene miedo de cambiar de rumbo en base a los datos.<br><br>Esto nos da algunos puntos de datos anecd\u00f3ticos que muestran un patr\u00f3n: vendedores de IA que usan cifras hiperb\u00f3licas para mostrar que la IA se va a hacer cargo de todo el trabajo, CEOs \u201cmotivados\u201d de empresas early adopters que usan n\u00fameros para justificar la inversi\u00f3n y aumentar el valor de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, CEOs \u201coportunistas\u201d que usan proyecciones de alto impacto de IA para justificar recortes de costos, y empleadxs que ven resultados contradictorios casi todas las semanas mientras lidian con la posibilidad de que la adopci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica contribuya a una estrategia de reemplazo.<br><br>\u00bfA qui\u00e9n deber\u00edas creerle? La respuesta simplificada es: a las personas que est\u00e1n motivadas a decirte la verdad, no a quienes intentan venderte algo que depende de estirar esa verdad. En el \u00faltimo trimestre de 2025, el National Bureau of Economic Research, NBER, encuest\u00f3 a l\u00edderes de empresas de distintas industrias en cuatro econom\u00edas principales, Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Alemania y Australia, y concluy\u00f3 que el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nber.org\/digest\/202605\/global-evidence-business-use-ai?page=1&amp;perPage=50\">90% encontr\u00f3 un impacto bajo o nulo en la productividad<\/a> durante los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os, a pesar de los programas de adopci\u00f3n masiva. Los hallazgos de NBER, publicados el mes pasado, tambi\u00e9n incluyeron una proyecci\u00f3n moderada de impacto en la productividad, 1,4%, para los pr\u00f3ximos tres a\u00f1os seg\u00fan lxs encuestadxs, muy lejos del \u201cla IA puede hacer el 95% del trabajo\u201d promovido por quienes buscan vendernos IA.<br><\/p><\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"block-assets-and-copy js-block-assets-and-copy\"\n\tdata-variant=\"center-aligned-asset\"\n\tdata-content-align=\"center\"\n>\n\t<h2\tclass=\"text text-sans-48 block-assets-and-copy__title\"\n\tdata-animation=\"slide\" data-animation-target=\"words\" >Estamos invirtiendo en el lugar equivocado<\/h2><div\tdata-animation=\"slide-fade\" data-animation-target=\"inner-items-separate\" data-animation-delay=\"0.15\" data-animation-stagger=\"0.2\" class=\"block-assets-and-copy__content\" >\n\t<p\tclass=\"text text-sans-24 block-assets-and-copy__text\"\n\t>Al intentar entender por qu\u00e9 las expectativas no se est\u00e1n cumpliendo, el razonamiento m\u00e1s com\u00fan apunta a que la IA fue sobre prometida o que no es tan impactante como se dec\u00eda. Si bien aumentar las expectativas sobre la tecnolog\u00eda es una caracter\u00edstica t\u00edpica de lxs proveedorxs de IA motivadxs por levantar capital, el problema para las empresas que adoptan esta tecnolog\u00eda no es que la IA no sea lo suficientemente buena, sino que no estamos reorganizando nuestro talento y nuestros procesos para aprovechar una tecnolog\u00eda nueva que s\u00ed puede generar mejoras. En lugar de enfocarse en la creaci\u00f3n de valor alineada con el prop\u00f3sito de una empresa, la \u201cproductividad\u201d se mide por cu\u00e1nto output se puede lograr con una fuerza laboral m\u00e1s reducida. En este contexto, el crecimiento puede lograrse siendo m\u00e1s efectivxs en lo que ya hacen, encontrando nuevas \u00e1reas de valor potencial o siendo m\u00e1s rentables al hacer ambas cosas de forma m\u00e1s eficiente.<br><br>La prioridad de una empresa tecnol\u00f3gica es vender tecnolog\u00eda. S\u00ed, su objetivo idealizado es que su tecnolog\u00eda ayude a unx CMO a crecer, pero eso queda en segundo plano, juego de palabras intencional para todxs lxs vendors que venden por asiento, frente a vender su tecnolog\u00eda, independientemente de para qu\u00e9 se use.<br><br>La prioridad de una agencia de publicidad es vender tiempo, o medios. De nuevo, su objetivo final es que su tecnolog\u00eda ayude a unx CMO a crecer, pero, salvo que sus ingresos est\u00e9n vinculados a los resultados, es decir, al crecimiento, su motivaci\u00f3n va a seguir a sus ingresos. Tomemos como ejemplo el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpp.com\/en\/news\/2026\/01\/wpp-launches-agent-hub-on-wpp-open-providing-clients-with-access-to-advanced-agentic-ai\">anuncio reciente de WPP<\/a>: \u00bfest\u00e1n buscando cobrar por resultados o por el uso de su tecnolog\u00eda? Su comunicado de prensa habla de resultados, pero sus cientos de millones invertidos en tecnolog\u00eda y el lanzamiento de un OpenPro donde cobran por tecnolog\u00eda indican otra cosa. Lo mismo puede decirse <a href=\"https:\/\/news.microsoft.com\/source\/2026\/04\/08\/microsoft-and-publicis-groupe-expand-their-strategic-partnership-to-power-the-future-of-agentic-marketing-for-businesses-worldwide\/\">de Publicis<\/a>, con una inclinaci\u00f3n a\u00fan mayor hacia el negocio de datos y medios por comisi\u00f3n, o de cualquier agencia del sector. Es en esta zona gris donde se manifiesta el Problema Principal Agente.<br><br>El agente que afirma cobrar por resultados pero le cobra al principal por acceder a tecnolog\u00eda propietaria crea una tensi\u00f3n inherente a un conflicto estrat\u00e9gico que favorece:<\/p>\n<ul\n\tclass=\"list text-sans-24 block-list__list\"\n\t>\n\t<li><strong>Asimetr\u00eda de informaci\u00f3n:<\/strong> al mantener oculto el funcionamiento interno de la IA, la agencia conserva un monopolio sobre la expertise, dificultando que la marca alcance el dominio necesario para lograr su prop\u00f3sito.<\/li><li><strong>Monetizaci\u00f3n de la fricci\u00f3n<\/strong>: si una marca no entiende c\u00f3mo la \u201ccaja negra\u201d logra sus resultados, sigue dependiendo de la agencia para operarla. Esto permite que la agencia siga cobrando por \u201cuso\u201d o \u201casientos\u201d, en lugar de responder al prop\u00f3sito del principal: crecer.<\/li><li><strong>Venta de \u201cwrappers\u201d:<\/strong> las agencias se convierten en vendors de funcionalidades SaaS presentadas como IA transformacional, pero que en realidad son modelos crudos provistos por vendedores de tecnolog\u00eda de IA, sin el redise\u00f1o de workflows necesario para ajustarse al prop\u00f3sito de la marca.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"block-assets-and-copy js-block-assets-and-copy\"\n\tdata-variant=\"copy-only\"\n\tdata-content-align=\"center\"\n>\n\t<h2\tclass=\"text text-sans-48 block-assets-and-copy__title\"\n\tdata-animation=\"slide\" data-animation-target=\"words\" >Empezar por hacer las preguntas correctas<\/h2><div\tdata-animation=\"slide-fade\" data-animation-target=\"inner-items-separate\" data-animation-delay=\"0.15\" data-animation-stagger=\"0.2\" class=\"block-assets-and-copy__content\" >\n\t<p\tclass=\"text text-sans-24 block-assets-and-copy__text\"\n\t>La mejor manera de navegar esta zona gris es seguir el dinero. \u00bfQui\u00e9n est\u00e1 invirtiendo en IA con crecimiento en mente? \u00bfQui\u00e9n est\u00e1 trabajando en su modelo comercial para beneficiarse de tu crecimiento y no de tu uso? \u00bfQui\u00e9n est\u00e1 enfocado en el desarrollo y la preparaci\u00f3n de tu equipo para usar IA antes de intentar venderte tecnolog\u00eda que no va a pasar del purgatorio de los pilotos?<br><br>No tengo una respuesta para estas preguntas, y tampoco deber\u00edas confiar en mis motivaciones si la tuviera. Trabajo en agencias, hago consultor\u00eda y asesoro startups que venden tanto datos como tecnolog\u00eda. En cambio, sugiero seguir un framework que te ayude a mirar la IA desde una perspectiva que te beneficie a vos, no a lxs vendedorxs de IA. Voy a dejar eso para otro art\u00edculo, para no diluir tu pensamiento por ahora.<br><br>Encontrar una soluci\u00f3n nos lleva nuevamente a la motivaci\u00f3n. \u00bfC\u00f3mo identific\u00e1s qui\u00e9n est\u00e1 motivadx a ayudarte a crecer? La respuesta se beneficia de la perspectiva de dos psic\u00f3logxs: Daniel Pink y Victor Vroom.<br><br>Pink nos dice que la motivaci\u00f3n depende de que el motivo de ganancia est\u00e9 alineado con el motivo de prop\u00f3sito. Si encontr\u00e1s prop\u00f3sito en habilitar crecimiento y obtener ganancia por habilitar crecimiento, entonces vas a estar motivadx a habilitar crecimiento. Sin embargo, si tu prop\u00f3sito es habilitar crecimiento y obtener ganancia por vender tecnolog\u00eda, entonces tu ganancia queda \u201cdesanclada\u201d de tu prop\u00f3sito. Las organizaciones empresariales pueden tener prop\u00f3sito, pero est\u00e1n impulsadas por la ganancia. En el mejor de los casos, van a lograr la ganancia a costa del prop\u00f3sito, tu crecimiento. En el peor, no van a lograr ninguno de los dos.<br><br>Vroom, a trav\u00e9s de su Teor\u00eda de la Expectativa de la Motivaci\u00f3n, nos dice que la motivaci\u00f3n se basa en tres factores: expectativa, instrumentalidad y valencia. En otras palabras: \u201c\u00bfPuedo hacerlo?\u201d, \u201c\u00bfVoy a recibir una recompensa?\u201d y \u201c\u00bfMe gusta esa recompensa?\u201d. Desde la perspectiva de la empresa cliente, esto se traduce en:<br><\/p>\n<ul\n\tclass=\"list text-sans-24 block-list__list\"\n\t>\n\t<li><em><em>\u201c\u00bfPuedo utilizar IA?\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/li><li><em><em>\u201c\u00bfVoy a recibir un beneficio por esta utilizaci\u00f3n?\u201d<\/em><\/em><\/li><li><em><em>\u201c\u00bfEse beneficio est\u00e1 alineado con las prioridades o el prop\u00f3sito de mi empresa?\u201d<\/em><br><\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p\tclass=\"text text-sans-24 block-text__text\"\n\t>Si el beneficio es crecimiento, entonces la \u00faltima parte de la ecuaci\u00f3n juega a tu favor, y lo que queda es la capacidad de aplicar la IA: un paso que depende fuertemente de encontrar partners motivados de manera similar. Lo \u00faltimo que quer\u00e9s es que su ecuaci\u00f3n sea \u201c\u00bfPuedo vender IA?\u201d, \u201c\u00bfVoy a recibir una recompensa por vender IA?\u201d y \u201c\u00bfMe gusta el bonus que recibimos por vender IA?\u201d.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/klarna-openai-humans-ai-back\">El giro de Klarna respecto a la IA <\/a>es un ejemplo de una empresa cuyo motivo de ganancia qued\u00f3 desvinculado de su motivo de prop\u00f3sito, y que r\u00e1pidamente reconoci\u00f3 la desalineaci\u00f3n de su \u201csobregiro\u201d, para usar las palabras de su CEO. Al caer inicialmente en la trampa de la ganancia, Klarna busc\u00f3 reemplazar trabajadorxs, ahorrar dinero y reducir el tiempo de resoluci\u00f3n, en su caso de forma sustancial, de 11 minutos a 2. Invirti\u00f3 en tecnolog\u00eda para eliminar costos, asumiendo que su prop\u00f3sito, la satisfacci\u00f3n y confianza del cliente, se mantendr\u00eda estable. Un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s lleg\u00f3 la admisi\u00f3n de que faltaba la \u201ccalidad\u201d de la conexi\u00f3n humana en casos complejos: cuando una transacci\u00f3n financiera sale mal, unx cliente no quiere una resoluci\u00f3n de dos minutos por parte de un bot, sino una resoluci\u00f3n de 11 minutos con una persona emp\u00e1tica que ayude a solucionar un problema que impacta su vida. En el caso de Klarna, la desalineaci\u00f3n de motivaciones obstaculiz\u00f3 su \u201cdominio\u201d de la relaci\u00f3n con el cliente, y fue necesario volver a contratar agentes humanxs para gestionar los momentos que importan.<br><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"block-assets-and-copy js-block-assets-and-copy\"\n\tdata-variant=\"copy-only\"\n\tdata-content-align=\"center\"\n>\n\t<h2\tclass=\"text text-sans-48 block-assets-and-copy__title\"\n\tdata-animation=\"slide\" data-animation-target=\"words\" >Resoluci\u00f3n<\/h2><div\tdata-animation=\"slide-fade\" data-animation-target=\"inner-items-separate\" data-animation-delay=\"0.15\" data-animation-stagger=\"0.2\" class=\"block-assets-and-copy__content\" >\n\t<p\tclass=\"text text-sans-24 block-assets-and-copy__text\"\n\t>Necesit\u00e1s encontrar partners cuyo motivo de ganancia est\u00e9 alineado con tu motivo de prop\u00f3sito, para que la recompensa sea compartida.
