Harvey Turner has joined as the new Managing Director for Dept Design & Technology in the US.

Harvey has nearly 25 years of experience producing quantifiable results in terms of sustainable growth, increased revenues and new business opportunities. Having previously held a Managing Director position at Grand Union, COO positions at Fresh8 Gaming and Quill, and CEO at Bodugi Technology, Harvey brings a wealth of operations experience within the technology sector.  Harvey has an outstanding reputation for delivering viable solutions, championing change and driving performance, company-wide.

Harvey will bring a fresh perspective to Dept, previously known as Building Blocks, as he takes the lead in orchestrating the development of the agency’s service offerings in the US from its base in Boston.

Commenting on his new role, Harvey said, “Dept offers a best-in-class service offering, creating experiences that people want and businesses need. I’m thrilled to join such a rich, diverse and vibrant company culture of experienced thinkers and makers. I look forward to this opportunity to spearhead innovation, growth and change for Dept in the US.”

Jasper Van de Luijitgaarden Managing Director at Dept, added, “Harvey will be a huge asset to the team with his wealth of knowledge, industry experience and his natural leader capabilities. We look forward to seeing Harvey steer our clients towards achieving their digital potential.”

Harvey’s appointment follows months of rapid growth for Dept.  Last month, the agency announced the acquisition of Boston-based Rocket Insights, Dept’s first deal in North America. The agency is accelerating its development and service offering, while committing to grow its US business.
