Following the inaugural event this year, where DEPT\u00ae was named Digital City Champions, the North\u2019s biggest event for the digital industry is getting reimaged into a truly digital experience. DEPT\u00ae is excited to play a vital role as a top sponsor, helping to mould the content pillars of the festival and filling the schedule with keynote sessions and fringe events.\t<\/h2>\n\n\n\t\tDigital City Festival<\/a>\u00a0is the annual event series exploring what makes a leading digital city.\u00a0Across two weeks of events from 12 \u2013 22 April 2021, the festival will gather thought-leaders from around the world to address the key challenges facing people, businesses and governments as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.\u00a0\t<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\u201cDEPT\u00ae was\u00a0Digital City Champion<\/a>\u00a0at the 2020 festival, and we wanted to continue our legacy as being a huge supporter not only of the Digital City Festival, but also the wider community, \u201c said Brian Robinson, Managing Director UK at DEPT\u00ae. \u201cTogether, we have the opportunity to shape our collective digital future, and the Digital City Network and Festival is an ideal place to collaborate.\u201c\t<\/p>\n\n\n\t\tAt this year\u2019s event, DEPT\u00ae exhibited in the expo, led a talk on \u2018The Art of Human-first Creativity<\/a>\u2019, hosted two fringe events and the ultimate after-party. To wrap up on a high note, DEPT\u00ae was crowned\u00a0Large Digital Company of the Year<\/a>\u00a0at the Digital City Awards 2020.\t<\/p>\n\n\n\t\tThe 2021 programme is being steered by an\u00a0Advisory Board<\/a>\u00a0made up of the region\u2019s digital leaders ranging from local politicians and advocates to Marketing Directors, CIOs and MDs.\u00a0\t<\/p>\n\n\n\t\tDEPT\u00ae\u2019s UK Marketing Director, Mellissa Flowerdew-Clarke, is a member of the board chosen to represent digital innovation, one of the festival\u2019s four key pillars alongside culture, tech for good, growth and productivity. She said:\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m meeting with some of the brightest minds in the industry to shape the 2021 festival.
