\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tDate\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tDecember 9, 2024\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<\/div>\n\n\n\tARTIS<\/a>, one of the five oldest zoos in the world, is launching a new online experience with a brand new app and a redesigned website. <\/p>\n\tCreated with agency partner DEPT\u00ae, the project redefines the digital presence for ARTIS Zoo, ARTIS-Micropia and ARTIS-Groote Museum -, reflecting the holistic experience of nature\u2019s micro and macro, bringing visitors to a cohesive experience online and offline.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/video>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\tConnecting with new & known audiences<\/p>\n\tAt ARTIS, visitors learn about nature, from the tiniest microorganisms to the vastness of the universe. Each experience complements the other into a cohesive whole, and its new digital presence aims to reflect that. ARTIS wants to strengthen the connection with nature through conservation, preservation, and education. This project creates an opportunity to connect ARTIS with new and known audiences functionally and purposefully, bringing their customer and visitor experience to a new level.

With a new content driven website and the launch of a new app, ARTIS transforms the way visitors interact with the space, even before they arrive: from a fresh identity to a new interactive map, guided audio tours, and the narrowcasting across screens on site, both the app and website create a seamless experience. DEPT\u00ae also set up and configured an integrated Content Management System (CMS) framework that services all digital touchpoints, allowing the information visitors see online to be connected to what they see on site.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n
\n\t\u201c<\/span>\n\tThere is no better place than ARTIS to enjoy a unique experience of nature. Explore the hidden world of microbes at ARTIS-Micropia, encounter the animals and plants we share our planet with at ARTIS Zoo, and explore the deep bond between humanity and nature at the ARTIS-Groote Museum. Exploring, learning about, and caring for nature is all possible at ARTIS. And now, also online! In collaboration with DEPT, we created a new digital platform to inspire visitors before, during, and after their visit to connect even more deeply with nature.<\/p>\t

\n\t\u201c<\/span>\n\tWorking with ARTIS has been an immersive learning experience, and trust strengthens our collaboration. When we started the project we did guided tours and were often on site, which contributed to our deep understanding of who they are, their challenges and visions. Our designs embody and reflect that. There is an underlying connection to be found in rhythms, shapes, and patterns. These building blocks of our existence grow, evolve, and constantly adapt to the environment. Our work reflects nature and how everything is connected.<\/p>\t

\n\t\u201c<\/span>\n\tThe nice thing about working with DEPT was that everyone who worked on this special project did so with enormous dedication, creativity and attention. As an internal project team at ARTIS, we worked with the same mindset producing a very pleasant collaboration and a special result. An example of the commitment and attention were the biweekly kitchen reviews in ARTIS’ monumental lecture hall with all stakeholders. We are proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to showing visitors, both physically and digitally, how special ARTIS and nature are and how important it is that we take good care of this planet.
