Om dit tot uiting te brengen werd al snel duidelijk dat de huidige website van ProRail hoognodig toe was aan vernieuwing. Deze was inmiddels zo\u2019n tien jaren geleden opgezet en logischerwijs verouderd geraakt. Een mooie uitdaging die tevens diende als startschot van onze driejarige samenwerking.<br><br>De voornaamste doelstelling was om de nieuwe website van ProRail op een dusdanige manier in te richten en vorm te geven, dat de inhoud ervan voor iedereen te begrijpen is. Om de kwaliteit hiervan te waarborgen, zou de website moeten voldoen aan de gestelde eisen volgens de internationale norm van aangepast op basis van deze eerdergenoemde toegankelijkheidseisen. Dit betekent: \u00ededereen kan de website lezen, beluisteren en begrijpen, ook wanneer je bijvoorbeeld slechtziend of laaggeletterd bent. Vertaald naar de website houdt dit onder meer in dat het contrast hoog is, de teksten to the point zijn geschreven en dat alle pagina\u2019s te beluisteren zijn. Het design van de website is volledig responsive en dus op alle devices goed te bekijken. Het nieuwe ProRail.nl scoort een \u2018AA\u2019 op de eerder genoemde internationale norm van toegankelijkheid. Koppelingen met het back-office systeem van ProRail zorgen er daarnaast voor dat werkzaamheden en storingen worden getoond en de website te allen tijde up-to-date is.<br><br>Optimizely, een softwarepakket dat als tool kan worden ingezet voor A\/B-testen, biedt de mogelijkheid om te experimenteren met de meest uiteenlopende variaties. Vanuit deze testen ontstaat een selectie van de meest effectieve pagina\u2019s, en is ProRail ervan verzekerd dat online bezoekers de best mogelijke ervaring krijgen. Zo hebben structurele A\/B testen geresulteerd in een optimale inzet van content.\t<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\t<div Aangezien we ervoor hadden gezorgd dat alle componenten van ProRail.nl herbruikbaar zijn, kon de back-end omgeving &#8211; op enkele configuraties na &#8211; worden overgenomen. Dit scheelt veel tijd, en hiermee natuurlijk ook geld. Om de website zo persoonlijk mogelijk te maken, hebben we onder meer testimonials en interviews toegevoegd.\u00a0<br><br>We hebben WerkenBij gekoppeld met ProRail\u2019s recruitmentsysteem middels een API, zodat vacatures en de status hiervan worden doorgepusht. Content managers hebben zo de belangrijke vacature informatie direct voorhanden en hoeven dit enkel nog te verrijken met content uit het CMS. Dit maakt het up-to-date houden van WerkenBij een stuk minder arbeidsintensief en zorgt er tevens voor dat het sollicitatieproces voor de sollicitant prettig verloopt. Daarnaast hebben we een koppeling gemaakt met Google Maps, zodat de sollicitant precies weet wat de reistijd is per vacature. samenwerking op afstand tijdens de coronacrisis, dat kan soms een uitdaging zijn. Helemaal als er intensieve communicatie vereist is om een krachtige en voor iedereen toegankelijke website te bouwen. Gelukkig bleek dat tussen DEPT\u00ae en ProRail geen probleem: samen realiseerden we een uniforme website, waarbij rekening is gehouden met een vari\u00ebteit aan designkeuzes en toepassingen. Denk hierbij aan contrast voor slechtzienden of gebruik van een readspeaker, waarbij website content kan worden voorgelezen aan bezoekers. Zo hebben we er samen voor gezorgd dat de ProRail-website toegankelijk is \u00e9n blijft voor de hele samenleving. Al met al wat het een succesvol project; we kijken uit naar de komende jaren waarin digitale ontwikkelingen en toegankelijkheid centraal zullen blijven
