En wel door zelf een routeplanner voor e-bikes te bouwen. Deze kondigde de fietsspecialist aan middels een open brief aan Google met daarin een pleidooi om de e-bike toe te voegen aan Maps. Een belangrijk verschil dat niet naar voren komt wanneer je je route plant via Google Maps. E-bikes vragen daarom om nieuwe manieren van routes plannen en berekenen. En niet alleen zorgt een ritje op een e-bike dat je sneller bent dan met een reguliere fiets, ook ten opzichte van auto\u2019s valt er vaak voordeel te behalen. Problemen met parkeren zijn verleden tijd en zeker met het oog op duurzaamheid en klimaatverandering is de e-bike een goede optie. Dat zijn voordelen, die wat Gazelle betreft niet onopgemerkt hoeven te gaan. We hebben daarom niet slechts een simpele routeplanner gebouwd, maar eentje die de verschillen van de e-bike ten opzichte van de reguliere fiets en auto uitlicht. Naast de uitgestippelde route met de juiste berekeningen wat betreft de af te leggen afstand en tijdsduur, zijn in Gazelle Maps ook je CO2-besparing en het aantal kilocalorie\u00ebn dat je verbrandt
