Dept and BASIC® win eleven Webby Awards
Today the winners of the 2021 Webby Awards were announced, and digital agency Dept and BASIC® (part of Dept) were honored with eleven awards. The agencies were recognized for their work for Google, Patagonia, Steelseries, GANNI, Van Gogh Museum, Honig, Muuto, and BASIC®’s own cultural initiative, Crafted™.
The e-commerce platform for Patagonia, the Google Store work that was co-created with Google, and the Van Gogh Museum website that was created with tech agency Q42 earned both a Webby jury award as well as a People’s Voice Webby award.
Dept was recognized twice in the Virtual & Remote category. The interactive digital showroom built for GANNI was named the People’s Voice winner in Fashion & Retail, and the ‘Live Eet’-campaign with Honig that supported the Dutch Foodbanks was recognized in the Brand or Partner Experience category. Furniture retailer Muuto’s new digital platform for B2B and B2C customers received a People’s Voice award in the Shopping subcategory. Finally, SteelSeries was honored with a People’s Voice award in Advertising, Media & PR: Best Growth Strategy for its full-funnel media strategy.
A special Webby jury award this year went to BASIC®’s own project, Crafted™, which is a cultural initiative that celebrates diversity and unites creators, was named the winner in the Corporate Social Responsibility subcategory.
