Dept wins Large Digital Company of the Year at the Digital City Awards
Dept has scooped the award for Large Digital Company of the Year at the 2020 Digital City Awards in Manchester.
The award recognises Dept’s exponential growth over the past year, and celebrates its status as one of the fastest growing agencies in the world. Over the past twelve months, Dept climbed 10 places to 5th spot Prolific North’s Top 50 Digital Agencies 2019, 12 places in Econsultancy’s Top 100 to 40th place, won the Prolific North Agency of the Year, and the Sitecore Experience Award for its work with Formula E. The agency has also opened a new office in Leeds, and won new clients including Kerry Foods and the London Marathon.
The Digital City Awards ends a fantastic week of participation at the inaugural Digital City Festival in Manchester. Tipped to be the SXSW of the UK, the week long festival included over 60 fringe events, a two-day expo, and exclusive aftershow parties.
Dept were proud to be the Digital City Champions, supporting the festival with fringe events, including one on headless technology and a brand launch for homeless charity Coffee for Craig. Dept also hosted the official Digital City Expo aftershow, Cross the Line, where 550 movers and shakers from the digital scene partied late into the night at the coolest venue in town, Viadux.
