Yearly SpinAwards rewards Dept with silver and two times gold


Dept has won three SpinAward rings during the 20th edition of the awards. The SpinAwards are the prizes for creative concepts in digital communication and innovation.

The website for energy company Eneco won a golden SpinAward ring in the category ‘Website’. The strategy, concept and design of were redeveloped to meet the core message ‘Welcome to the new world’. The user experience of the new website, emphasizing ‘mobile first design’, makes the message more tangible. In the same category, the Philips Hue website was awarded with silver. Through interactive web experience on this microsite, more inspiration was built for the Hue products and enabled users to experience the products more interactively.

In the category ‘Banner’, The Lost Gravity campaign for Walibi Holland won a golden SpinAward ring as well. The campaign, developed in close collaboration with Men in Green, consisted of a homepage takeover, in which visitors of the online newspaper could make a virtual roller coaster ride. The category, created at the first edition in 1998, disappeared from the scene, but made a one-time return this year.
