\n\t\t\t\n\t\tThis year, the theme for International Women\u2019s Day hits especially close to home: \u201cDigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.\u201d

In a 2022 report, the UN estimated that women\u2019s exclusion from the world of digital and technology has shaved $1 trillion<\/a> from the GDP of low- and middle-income countries in the last decade. Without change, that cost is expected to reach $1.5 trillion by 2025.\u00a0

Breaking this pattern means more than just hiring more female engineers, software developers, and UX designers; technology and digital as a whole need to become more gender-responsive.\u00a0

At DEPT\u00ae, we believe technology\u2019s latest innovations can be used to advance gender equality by taking advantage of machine learning to crack down on online harassment, using revolutionary connectivity to make education for careers within STEM more inclusive, and pioneering AI to end gender discrimination in healthcare.
